Here are a few videos on Socialism as a sort of warm up. They are simple but true and a good place to start learning. I could write a book on the failures of socialism full of facts. I figure though this is a good way to start a discussion.
Socialism is totally based on theft. Take (by force) from one person or group and give to another. How can so many people support a Government system that suppresses freedom? So many people are willing to give up their freedom for free stuff. They want to go after the rich and take their stuff instead of earning their own way in life. How can people live with themselves when they dont earn their own way?
Only 2 kinds of people support Socialism. Those that want to be in control and those that want free stuff. If you want to earn your own way in life and not control and support other peoples lifes you should abhor Socialism.
First video is about if Socialism was applied to grades in school and exactly how it would work and exactly how it does work when used by Governments.

A socialist explains how socialism works. I have heard some of the exact arguments here and from other people.

Classic Cartoon on Socialism. What freedom in America means and how socialism takes away mans freedom. This is from 1948 and goes to show how Socialism keeps sticking up its ugly head and people still fall for it.

Political systems explained. Which do you prefer?

Re: A few Socialism primer videos
The US is light years away from socialism. It's not even within a lunar distance of social democracy (which is what Scandinavia has, which is itself not socialism). These videos could just as easily be about the spectre of Hinduism becoming the dominant US religion in terms of their relevance to reality. I don't understand why this imaginary horse needs so much beating.
