Oh sorry just saw this, this isn't a conspiracy theory. This is ABSOLUTELY true. If you have been watching the NBA for a long time and still realistically think that it is pure competition and isn't purposely influenced by the officials in many games then you are wearing blinders.

This kind of officiating doesn't happen for any team though Asmo, its pretty much 99% for the Lakers. And EW, I know about all that but what's amazing is that after the 2002 debacle they got caught, apologized, promised to reform, and yet their doing it again - of course no amount of bad officiating is going to get them past the first round, if they even make it without Kobe, but still.
To say that the entire NBA is like this is just to let the actual, proven corruption with respect to the Lakers slide.
I don't fully get why this keep happening though. I know LA is a huge market team, but so is NYC, for instance, and you don't see it happening for the Knicks really. Is it just the mystique of the Lakers legacy? Is Stern just basically a Lakers fan?
