tirri's daily nhl predictions, season 2013-2014

A single berserk reached us yesterday, after having come all the way over the mountains from the city of Willow, fourteen hundred miles away. He delivered to Alric a single package the size of a man's fist, wrapped in rags, and refuses to talk with anyone about events in the West.

annoying SO loss yesterday but what was more annoying was that i had made a penguins -1,5 bet also (hadnt put it on pickmonitor because 5dimes didnt have the odds up by then) and naturally the spread lost in the last minute, after fleury was inches away from scoring a goal

catastrophically annoying day with literally every single close game going against me.

ottawa, tampa, calgary and devils were leading 1-0, 3-0, 1-0, 3-1 only to lose in the shootout or after late third period goals. every single close game has been going against me for the past couple of days and ive lost several games during the last minute or so. its a wonder im not losing more money but rather have still stayed at about 0. if about 5 of the last 10 close games would have gone my way, id by up by a loooot.

oh well, things will even out

1* - [56] Anaheim Ducks 1.77 vs Minnesota Wild

anaheim is a very low confidence bet, so its not really a 1 unit but rather 0,5 or something like that

and one more really low confidence play, although a lot of good handicappers seem to be going for chicago too

nice day yesterday, too bad my bets were pretty small because i was shaken up due to the bad beats a little earlier!

My Tracked Plays
1* - [10] St. Louis Blues 1.42 vs Toronto Maple Leafs
1* - [10] St. Louis Blues -1.5 2.25 vs Toronto Maple Leafs
1* - [22] San Jose Sharks 1.50 vs Minnesota Wild
These plays are being tracked under the username lunatus at Pick Monitor

1* - [12] Winnipeg Jets 2.00 vs Colorado Avalanche

again, due to pickmonitor limitations im only putting these bets there. With roughly odds reflecting to those ML odds, i also made win in regulation bets for san jose and winnipeg

17 pages of tirri discussing NHL betting with....himself. That is a colossal effort sir. I knew Finns liked hockey but this is insane.

1* - [13] Dallas Stars 2.05 vs Nashville Predators

this one is much smaller confidence than the rest

this takes me about 30 seconds daily as i will make the picks regardless and do the monitoring too. its just me being nice to the ever so great myth community, providing people with what should be one of the most profitable ways to invest your money that you will ever find.

My Tracked Plays
1* - [56] Vancouver Canucks -1.5 2.55 vs Edmonton Oilers
These plays are being tracked under the username lunatus at Pick Monitor

this is a low confidence pick. my own pick will be vancouver -0,5 but as always, pickmonitor doesnt have that option and i will rather risk 100 dollars to win 155 for the -1,5 spread rather than risk 200 dollars to win 100 dollars for the moneyline bet.

I don't think the model would work with power rankings as the model is mainly used for finding the most likely upset victories that might be worth betting on to reap some monies.

sorry everyone, a few bad apples ruined it

i have people begging me to tell them more about the model and people are willing to pay for the picks so continuing this here with the likes of kirk, sasper and so on hardly seems productive for me

i am now number 1 at pickmonitor in hockey for the year and number 10 in overall profits for the year (everyone above me has at least twice as many picks so my ROI is actually through the roof). so long mythers

Lunatus' picks are worth at least $40s a month, and as you can see are rather successful. Tirri went above and beyond the myth call of duty by providing this service for free to the select Gate of Storms community.

Myrk are you using a website like lunatus for profits, or are you betting with people on the side that you already know?

I'm using mostly Pinnacle although I check Sportsinteraction.com too because they occasionally have better odds. I find Pinnacle usually has the best odds

end of the year update for all lovely mythers. even though december was a pretty hard month in general, i'm not too worried as i had a ridiculous amount of late third period comebacks against me and still ended up having a positive month.

You will have a really hard time finding a sports better with a daily profit chart that looks like this

the owner of pickmonitor has been building some new informative metrics to measure handicappers and give easy to understand information to possible buyers. this is all right with me because it seems the new metrics put me first on the handicappers list (projected roi)

He's still rated #2 overall for NHL on pickmonitor, with over $14,000 winnings (which presumably doesn't include the people paying him upfront for information) and currently a 9.5% return on investment.
I'm mainly wondering about assessment concerning the model at this stage in the season.
