GKG Retiring from MWC's

Post by Giant Killer General »

Not trying to make an emo or ego post here, just want to get this in before MWC ends so that people know that the outcome of this MWC did not influence this post, or thus interpret it as an emo or ego post.

This will be my last MWC. I may or may not be around myth afterwards. If so, to a much lesser degree I am sure, but definitely done with MWC's.

No special reasons, it's just time. Not going to sit here and blame the community, certain players or anything like that. It's been fun. I accomplished and experienced everything that I wanted to with this game. I was 4 years behind in my career and life in general due to a military enlistment which allowed me to stick around longer than most, but real life catches up with us all eventually.

It's not quite time to say goodbye yet, but when that time comes, hit me up if some of you want to be able to stay in touch. I will still be playing other games, so you never know when there might be another game to reconnect with people at.

This is also not a pre-excuse, I will finish this MWC strong. If I am beaten, I am beaten fair and square.

More to come on this after MWC and MFC wrap up in the coming months.

MWC aside, no reason to entirely eliminate the possibility of playing more Myth in the future. I typically play for a few months, then take a hiatus for a few more, then I feel the need to come back and play more Myth and so on :) I think a lot of people disappear for at least a few months after MWC regardless.

Anyways there has been a lot of Myth stuff going on lately and tons of tournaments so I'm not surprised if people get burnt out. Personally come September I'm hoping there's maybe one organized thing per week (FFA club, kickball, etc) that I'll try and show up for, but outside of that I imagine I'll have my hands full with other stuff for a while. There's no saying what will happen next year with MWC (as with every year for the past little while), but I imagine we'll cross that bridge when we come to it :)

That said, still lots of good MWC left this year. Looking forward to seeing the DE games!

Actually I think that sucks. You should consider what PunkUser said and just let it go for a while. I've done that since I started playing Myth in 98'. Longest stretch I played was about 3 yrs. You dont have to give it up for good. Its always nice coming back.

Yes I spent a year and a half or so Away (first time since i started in 98) and it did wonders. Of course I suck now, but I dont care. Though I do get bitched at by my wife for "playing that stupid myth game"

I don't see the point of this post at all... if you don't plan on playing next year, just don't join a team next year. Posting your distant future intentions this year:

Emo post? [✔]
Ego post? [✔]

I call your bluff.

Last great player will leave MYTH.
Many will remember him as a dick, but dick with 5 balls, big one, MPD.
GKG reached everything in this game, but he doesn't come out of the shadow of the greatest players like Chohan. His glory doesnt meet his ambitions but it is end anyway. Time.

Many assclowns, gangbang cocksuckers (like limp) will be exciting about this news and will talk random shit... MPD not keeping their mouths busy anymore.
But for rest of us, it's a big loss.
That's all folks.

"but he doesn't come out of the shadow of the greatest players like Chohan."

- Have you ever played or watched Chohan play beside the few films that has been posted recently? I am not very impressed by them if you talk about high standard mything since you always talk so warm about him do you know him at all?

....First of all I have to admit I have no knowledge of Chohan or the other "famous" old schoolers at all. What I know is that GKG's talent have to be compared to most of them and maby also above them for all I know and this I can say without playing them.
If they are so much better then GKG then they would be to a point untouchable in theyr time on myth.

Limp is a cocksucker... just lol you obviously dont know him at all or I know him to little. Might also be that but I im pretty sure its the first.

It's not a shitt post in any way Bagrada just stating my point of view on this.

Excluding the small handful of reggers who actually have feelings (or a brain. I'm not sure which one you're all lacking), I hope the rest of you get killed. I'm so fucking sick of being harassed on a daily basis for making a mistake that didn't affect the outcome of the game whatsoever.

You inconsiderate pompus pricks need to get it through your head that not everyone on m2 has no life. Not everyone has devoted the last 10 years of their life playing a game that requires no skill at all (that's right, I fucking said it. This bullshit reg crap requires no skill whatsoever. It requires a cap, filler, being able to click a mouse, being able to use hotkeys, and one power-hitter to hold 30% of the units). I've been playing reg for 2 months to prepare myself for my first MWC participation and I'm better than the vast majority of you already, regardless of what you may think of me due to my ww2 order tag.

So, next time you think about opening your mouth and using your peanut sized brain to insult me, keep this in mind: I've played 1% of the total reg games that you've played, and I out-dmg, out-micro and out-ratio you 80% of the time, regardless of the units I get. In other words, all you players who think you're good, you're really not.

This will be my first and final MWC participation. Once it's reached it's completion, you'll never find me in a team reg game again. Thanks guys!

Don't bother flaming me on this thread, I won't return to read your useless comments. I prefer to keep the brain cells that I'd lose reading your idiocy.

EDIT- I completely forgot to mention the fact that while you guys are harassing me, you should think about the fact that you douchebags force me to play your bullshit *HOMO* maps. Fix the ranking system and your games won't be flooded with ww2ers.

EDIT2- WTF, I can't say idiot-GOT on your idiot-GOT forums? WTF IS WITH THAT GAY BASHING BULLSHIT? FUCK YOU idiot-GOTS!

EDIT3-
Total holes put in walls while writing this:1
Total kittens killed while writing this:3

Well I guess this is the thread to announce I'm not playing myth anymore. Haven't looked at the forums for a week until now, this MWC is weak.
