Captains: Draft Time

What is the best time to meet, and will any captains be unavailable?

uhh, i saw THOR and Asmo also signed up to captain.

this could be about as big as the last draft tournament. while it was easier to get people to sign up because another tournament was already going, and that tournament (MWC13)/previous team tournament (TWS13 - 8 team draft) didn't suck balls, we can easily make 40.

I'll still play, but I can't captain anymore due to some commitments that may make me miss some Saturdays.

we could do a 3-cap tournament )especially with a low number of participants registered( whereas it's still round robin, but each team gets a bye week. and finals is finals.


this could make it more it more fair for all teams if team captains are able to research who can show up which weeks, et al.

If we really need another captain and people want 4 teams I can step up and cap a team. It would probably even be better for me to cap because I can't play all that well with my lag, so I'm more than happy to cap if people want. Let me know.

uhh, Ars there is a difference between being a captain for a team in the tournament who at the very least drafts and at the very most organizes players, and a captain as a participant who picks unit trading and gives strats, etc.

Do you understand this difference? I am unsure if you do.

I am aware, thanks. I have had success as a captain many years ago, before you starting even playing the game I might add. I have always seen my strength in myth as more of a strategist than a player and with my lag issues I will be more valuable as a captain than a player. With the games on Saturdays I will be able to make the games no problem and have all week to work on strats as well. Thanks for your concern, but I will be fine.

My situation has changed so I can captain if needed. I'll let Paris,Thor, Tirri, Ratking and Arsenal have priority over me though.

Paris, you are among the worst captains / strategists in this game, so you are hardly one to talk. I am actually quite concerned for the health of this tournament that i am not participating in, because the TO is even allowing you to captain (though it may be from lack of volunteers). I am quite certain Arsenal could do a better job as captain / strategist than you. So if you are captaining, Arsenal has my stamp of approval. Consider him GKG-certified

Now let's all look forward to Arsenal's team beating Paris' team. Now that's entertainment.

If Asmo and Ratking both want to captain I have no problem stepping out and letting them figure it out. Would give me some leeway if something comes up from having to show up at 4am the next few weeks.

And thanks GKG, I appreciate it. I do plan on capping some future tournaments, however in a tourney with a max number of teams and people who want to cap I have no problem letting them.

I will still show at draft time just in case.
