I still think back to the days of TFL / M2 glory..

Between 97-2000, you could find any game on any map.. Packed rooms.

Do you think that the thousands and thousands of people who played Myth then even think about the game now?

I bet some do. You can see examples of some on other sites commenting on how great Myth was to them. Yet they don't get back to it for whatever reason. Some probably don't know a metaserver exists and others are too lazy to find a copy of the game again.

Those were heady days. Look how frigging long it's been! My friends and I would lug our early PowerPC computers to each other's houses to play Bungie's Marathon. I remember our excitement for this new game called Myth that was coming out. We were totally wowed by tech demos of the game showing some of the game mechanics, gasping in awe as we watched a dwarven cocktail bounce **downhill**! And when it came out, it was like a dream.

My favorite was RiP Bacon ;)

I find myself thinking about those days every so often and then I log into Myth only to find disappointment (very few players, everyone speaks Portuguese, no one plays TFL maps).

:_( I'd have to imagine there would be more ppl that would come back if they knew the servers still existed. Most people who played back in the day probably think it's been long dead.

Of course; for those who knew it, mything and all it entailed when people were active will always be the greatest experience in gaming.

The sadness you must have that you will never enjoy myth ww2 during it's prime. I feel for your soul kk.

We don't have souls Cho. We sold them long ago for games like Myth 1 and 2 and Diablo 2X , WOW , COD, CS, BF 1942 , D3 , AOE, Guild Wars , Black Ops,NWN,Shadow, POE recently etc . Life of a Gamer is such an endless cycles of love, sorrow and loss and joys of them all. Remember Skippy and Babiluba and Apollo and Red Phoenix,Rauko,Scorpio,Thoran, Loser (original) etc? Good memories of times long past for those that remember them. Perhaps if Myth was EVER remade with a modern physics engine (and a new storyline post M2 or something past), they may appear again... who knows what dreams may come.(probably their children too LOL)

A few months ago I started a new job. People were talking about something and I thought it was video games. It actually wasn't. My mistake.

But I continued anyway just so I could mention Myth because the real conversation probably wasn't as interesting. And then one guy goes "yeah and Myth II?".

It's like real people played Myth.

I remember this... Sara and I were grooving to the smooth cool jazz of the Stratman playing through a shitty mic clipping like crazy. it was so peaceful.

White color with the dragonfly / angel looking icon.

He was in Immortals with Lord Crazy and Koolaid but refused to use a clan tag.

Yes! Man these videos bring me back. Every 2 years or so I can't help but re-install Myth 2, just to play one or two multiplayer games.

Yeah, I remember him. I don't know. I think its better I no longer know how to even install the game. Some things are more fun to remember than to relive.
