I'll use this thread to break down how everyone came to their rankings for the group stage.
In hindsight, the most contested area was between participants ranked 4-7. I had considered qualifying players into 3 groups, two of three and one of four, as well as two groups consisting of four and six players respectively. However I chose to stick to the script of what I had written and instead we have two 5 player pools. Hopefully people wont find what I just wrote confusing, like during MWC16 when they confused tournament structure theory crafting with actually implementing changes to the original rules.
The first pool is the top 5 players listed here, and the second pool is players 6-10. Unfortunately, players ranked 11-17 did not meet the qualifying requirements to continue into the group stage, otherwise they might find themselves ranked higher here.
