These were great games to be had today; from the pre-game mental preparations in the lobby to the salty controversial conclusion in the lobby, the finals of this draft tournament will be remembered for the ages.

In the beginning you had limp's team making less mistakes. The first game is the shortest, limp's superior strategy is run fluently by his players in what will become known to future my thing generations as The Art of Flag Rally.

Game two had similar results to the first, where Asmo completely shits the bed although you could say his strategy may have been better thought out in the first. Myth is a game of execution however, and his teammates were not able to understand what he was trying to accomplish here especially with Akira playing the game type for the first time. Thereby they felt the guillotine of the two smoking guns, who ended the game with the highest kill and damage ratio while the Smorfs post consecutive games with a player posting negative damage given and team Limp is halfway to victory.

Game three is long and drawn out with the best action coming late in the game. Limp's "make flank combinations with arz/dantski/myrk/hmp and keep switch/tsg with me" is a recurring theme in these finals netting team limp a title clinching choke hold over team asmo.

Leading 3-0 with the ball in their court as predicted and facing their first 7 on 7 game, strange things happen and team limp makes the game more challenging for themselves by employing what people call today as DUCKY/RAZIEL tactics. Chron and argos go on a field day eating thrall while rawr yells at some broad on the beach stressing about his teams performance, and we're all reminded how stupid it is to pick/play the ctf game type on the whirlwind meshes .

Game five is played with TWO DISCONNECTS of players with no rehost even though the entire game is a camping fest of shit. I heard of players complain about how long the match was taking and how long it took to begin, but if you don't want to play with each other there is a simple solution: don't show up. Myrk's loss is more detrimental than Gekko's, completely ruining limp's combo strategy.

Team Asmo is gaining the comeback momentum but suddenly loses nitro and Gekko forcing a 5v7 game 6. Asmo makes a crucial error by not inviting East Wind to his team in some last minute rigging and manipulation while team limp had agreed for his participation the entire match (without advertising the notion as a selling point). Slate Chron Akira and Argos fire on all cylinders in the final minutes winning the BC fight in a game reminiscent of the tcox vs Armageddon mwc08 qr match, tipping the scales to a final game WINNER TAKE ALL.

Game 7 pretty much epitomizes the match and tournament as a whole in one final unforgiving fourteen minute ooh-rah. Limp pretty much takes no units and let's his team do what they do best while implementing The Art of Flag Rally, he even puts faith into tsg and switch here which pays off while his front four perform the heavy lifting. HMP goes absolutely insane here while arz, dant and myrk absorb most of the agro and attention, great work by hmp as a truly underrated asset for team limp throughout the tournament. Asmodian cracks under the pressure of having an upset finals victory in a tournament he had complete control over, and could not find what it took to bring his team to the next level. He simply did not trust Argos and others to perform and took a bunch of units that died, netting more than 40% of his teams damage received and less than 20% of his teams damage inflicted. The irony in the polarity of team work and selfishness, folks.

The most entertaining part of the finals truly came following the game seven finale. Spectators and observers alike revealed they are actually more invested than the players, as gkg belittled limp for not begging asmo to use east wind as a teammate as if attempting to take something away from the championship team, quality of the match or make a point anyone gives a noteworthy shit about.

Somewhere rawr is crying, whether it is because he feels guilty for missing another an unforgettable myth 2 tournament finals or because he has pride for his team is up for you to decide.

MVP: HMP? I'd say all of team Limp, maybe Cu.

This is my conclusion of the asmo fantasy draft tournament finals, it has been a pleasure ;) we hops to see you all next year !!!!

I haven't laughed at anything myth-related that hard in a while. Also, well done to all of Team Limp except Dantski. ALWAYS BET ON LIMP™

You wish. That post was not a troll post, i just didnt know who has won what. I started Myth in Sep. 2014 about mid FFA tournament and I know about 10% of anything that happened in myth. Sorry to hurt your feelings.

And by the way on game 6, it wasn't in south's favor. I rewatched it and I mainly focused on the team actions during the game and saw a big movement contradicting your arguement. At the beggining both teams aproached mid and had the same room. SlatE and argos proceeded to push you away from your spot and gain the small amount of high ground forcing you into a narrow passage. Chron1 single handedly defeated the entire west side with a helpful few shots from akira. Your team was At no disadvantage but played sorely. I do give credit to Asmo's team for playing a good BC game on Trikelion though.

wow, after reviewing the films this seems like it's the only inaccuracy in my lobby reporter / view stats online review, looks like that 'eye test' everyone made a big fuss about doesn't make too much of a difference after all !

why?
you'll just have to find out !

We have come to this:

We are arguing about a tournament with 4 teams in it, in which the tournament didn't even get the best 2 teams in the championship.

Now that we're well into the epic myth controversy that history will no doubt remember with a sense of shame and infamy as "Sub-Gate" (dubs-gate), and with the Myth All-Star match just around the corner, let's take a closer look at the hugely controversial final games in the epic LIMP vs ASMO Draft Tournament finals match...

After 5 intense games of Myth 2: Soulblighter, it was looking grim for the contenders in this astonishing Asmodian Draft Tournament 2015 finals match. When we join the action the series is 3-2, with Team Limp still holding the lead from their devastating three victories at the opening. So, GKG took over hosting duties because Asmodian was lagging, and we go to the now hugely controversial concluding games of the match. Gekko perma-lagged out, Nitro vanished, and Asmodian's last second, desperate, efforts to bring in East Wind as a sub failed to materialize. Could Asmodian's team, out-numbered again, continue to generate momentum, and tie the match?

Game 6

The game is last man on the hill with 12 minutes (all games were 12 minutes), on the AVA inspired map Triskelion (Gamesters)

Limp taunts Asmodian, challenging him to add East Wind to his roster, and Asmodian starts trading. Limp and Asmodian develop strats at almost exactly the same time, and GKG cries about the lack of sportsmansly conduct he imagines Team Limp is exhibiting.

Image

Asmodian got thrall and Limp traded for more warriors and stygian knights. Argos and Akira seen here chatting about some nerd games. Asmo puts Chron and himself on the flanks and Limp sends Arzenic and Myrkridon to counter.

Image

Image

The forces array themselves mid.

Image

You can see Asmodian's strategy unfolding here...

Image

Switch's ghol kills Chron's warlock, Abharsai, and Akira smokes Arzenic's warlock at nearly the same instant. Limp tries to stiffen the northwest flank defence as Asmodian gets into position, but he keeps lagging.

Image

Argos, Chron and Asmo launch their puss attack, gibing TSG's mortar dwarf and killing two of Dantski's archers.
Image

Right after this, Asmodian's ghol Extinguisher stuns, then stabs to death, warlock Breamas, controlled by HMP. Right after, Abistear controlled by Akira, gets a sweet shot on Dantski, nuking his warlock and vaporizing some more archers. Within ten seconds its 92% to 79%.

Image

TSG's jman, Seven Eagle Jaguar something or other, gets vaporized by Asmodian's warlock Caithim, as the flame arrows come raining down...

Image

Slate, controlling mortar Trakk, makes a gorgeous shot killing more of Dantski's archers, and Myrk considers taking matters into his own hands.

Image

The excuses start flying, and Asmodian closes in while Team Limp tries to shift west...

Image

Akira with Admillin kills two of Arzenic's archers, but Myrk with Braman kills Chron's mortar dwarf.

Image

Image

Unfortunately for Myrk, while Twelve Flint Sun Collar and Thirteen Wind Moon Stone are healing up archers and Slate's duff, Trakk, for Team Asmodian. Meanwhile, Akira with Admillin, kills Myrk's Braman in a warlock battle.

Image

With five minutes remaining, Team Limp is getting desperate. Asmodian hands Akira Twleve Flint Sun Collar who continues his healing spree and Switch's dwarf gets gibbed by a pus ghol.

Image

Image

Time is low and the flag is far away for Team Limp. It'll be time to rush soon.

Image

Image

So they go for it, with 45 seconds left, but Team Limp just doesn't have the %s to cut through Team Asmodian's dedicated flag defence, and that's a wrap for Game 6!
