Double Elimination Rules:
- All DE Matches are BO5 until the Finals which are BO7.
- All games played in Eblis Stone
- Games are 7v7, unless both teams agree to 8v8.
- 1 agreed upon (by both teams) sub for each team is allowed. We did not adhere to this in the group stages, but will be sticking to it now.
- Each team will take turns picking their map/game type/settings.
- First map pick will be determined by the winner of a 1v1 between each teams' nominated player. Gimble/Gyre have worked well as a "suitably neutral" map, but we're leaving it up to the teams to decide.
- Each team is highly encouraged to schedule their match times at the best time for both teams. The default fallback is Saturdays at 3pm. Teams have a 30 minute grace period from fallback or their scheduled time to show up and start play.
- If any team is intentionally delaying please inform a member of the Myth Council.
Disconnects and replays
In an ideal world this issue is left up for the teams themselves to decide. The ideal hope is that teams will, as honestly and objectively as possible, strive to ensure the best games of Myth. This is the first rule, but in the event of a dispute The Council has added some guidelines:
If before any units have taken damage, one or more players drop/lag and/or go OOS, that team will be allowed one restart per game. If that team loses a player on the next try, play must proceed unless both teams agree to restart again.
If at any time an entire team, or all but one player, drop/lag and/or go OOS, and at least one member of the opposing team drop/lag and/or go OOS, the game must be replayed.
If a team-sponsored host drops the game or crashes at any point in the game after units have been damaged, the team that was dropped on has the option of either replaying or taking a forfeit win. If the host drop is obviously unintentional (the host's team was winning, etc), a replay is encouraged, and in extreme cases, enforced (even retroactively).
