Hi so with myth in the last stages of its life i would like to know of some other good video games.
Requirements for me - Non monthly subscription
- Needs to be able to play on a mac from around 2001

Post any good games in genral but i prob wont be playing really modern games and the like.

That's a pretty crippling limitation... you're not going to find much outside of browser games that work on hardware that old, especially a Mac.

probably the closest thing to Myth even if it is a modern warfare game. Check out the gameplay after the intro.

if you can see in the vid, there is a reload area where you see the tanks reloading. Fuel, and you got to use fast vehicles for scouting as placement of tanks in trees makes them invisible until scouted.
There is also morale, experience. Using Roads will make your vehicles move faster but leaves you more exposed compared to fields. You can also get things happen like your tank gets bogged cant move for a while, get shot and damaged cant fire for a few minutes ect, similar to the dwarf dud random variables that occur.

Real time Tactics no base-building.

edit; also love the fact that its german vs german and none of that stupid nazi sterotype bullshit that is found in nearly every other modern game.

drunken you are a god send. I got a game like that back when i was a kid where you would battle like that and I have been looking for one like it ever since. thank you.


League of legends could work although the 2001 computer may be a problem. However... people on crappy computers play it all the time.

Pally, i'm not sure what kind of games you're looking for, but if u got an old mac, and if u like adventure games, here's what i could suggest to u :

- download scummvm http://scummvm.org/downloads/

and then u will get plenty of awsome adventure games to play ! (classic lucasarts adventure games like Day of The Tentacle, Sam & Max, Full Throttle, etc .. and some pretty good adventure games from other editors, like Broken Sword, or Beneath a Steel Sky)
