can you set the prefs to make all links open in a new window or tab? annoying when i click something and lose the forums, and most forums do this by default. unless there's a user option already?

there's always the CTRL key.

Not sure if there's an option for that... if you know of a way in phpbb to do that, let me know. I just middle-click when I want to open in a new tab myself.
