Reaching out to inactive MWCers

Post by Zak »

These groups have played in MWC and have their own forums:

Ageha (xmas/aki should know the website for their forum, or contact info)
KoC/marmotas assassinas (I Know they have their own forum, I've seen it, its in all portuguese)
Ancrik (asmo or seeker probably has a link for this)
OoH (unlikely they'll play but maybe 1 or 2 might, link is www.orderofhpak.com)
RMA (RooF, and mariusnet forums)
Italians (do they have their own forum? probably not)
mental (I doubt they have a forum but I'm sure someone here has a fair number of their contact info, I know gin is online a lot. kythras, gabba, gin, wismuth, hmp, mate, zeph, propaghandi)
GRU (do they have a forum? I bet they do, maybe sam the butcher can contact them?)
TFS ( haven't seen them in a while but I bet elfoid lurks here, I know they have a forum too)
IX (some players still active I think, I Know they have a forum too.)
PooP ( I haven't seen any players online in a while but I bet they have a forum or something to keep in touch. Lets remind them about MWC!)

Not saying any of these teams will come back, but if we post a link to the MWC forums we may get a few players here and there, not just for MWC but myth in general as well.

Anyone with links or contact info for these forums/players, please post them here or PM so I can do some myth advertising.

I can cross these off the list of forums I thought were still up:

ancrik (forum seems broken, site works, pele contact info is there): http://ancrik.net/index.html

ageha (their website worked a year or two ago, get a 404 error now): http://f58.aaa.livedoor.jp/~ageha/

KoC/KoM ( forum still up, nobody on it for the most part. Myth2brasil website link is dead.): http://www.network54.com/Forum/22942/post

OoH: posted on their website

ROoF (found it, posted there too): http://www.roofgaming.net/ubbthreads.php

TFS (link is dead): http://www.tfs-online.vonetwork.net/

IX/polish mythers (forum still works, no recent posts, didnt bother posting about MWC there): http://www.mythpolska.fora.pl/myth,1/

Still looking for contact info/forums for these groups:
italians
mental
gru
poop (I did send taikung a private message)

Think its worth sending private messages to mythers on semi-dead forums?

Any advice on how I should approach spamming reddit and similar sites?

I want to advertise on mainstream websites as well, like reddit and bungie, could somebody write something up for me to post on those websites?

I will inform Kabuki. And from Kabuki he will speak in Japanese mother tongue to his comrades in Ageha hopefully about MWC.

people should start discussions on it in the myth community and hopefully some other people will join the talks.

well, zak took a gamble when putting together that squad (and honestly I think he put together a nice squad)

traditionally when you make a mwc team each player makes an agreement to play for that team.
he's taking a risk hoping that these players will be able to show up, a gamble for sure; but sometimes asking for people to volunteer on a cooperative behalf rather than waiting around for an invite is a better way to go..
