Whenever I think of Liger, I instantly remember all the business schemes he tried to involve me in.

Liger~ Hey Pogue! You should move to Houston so we can start a bar and a professional beer pong league! Think of all the money we'll make!

Me~ Umm, no thanks.

Liger~ Hey Pogue! Do you know anything about the women's clothes business?

Me~ Well, I unhooked a bra once...

Liger~ You should move to Houston and help me run my women's boutique! Think of all the money we'll make!

Me~ Ummm...no?

Liger~ Hey Pogue! Do you know anything about My Little Pony?

Me~ Isn't it that unicorn shit for kids?

Liger~ A lot of adults are into it! We could go to brony conventions and sell them merchandise! It's an untapped market! Think of all the money we'll make.

Me~ Just fuck off Liger...

fantasy sports are retarded. i can't stand all my friends and people i work with talking about fantasy football all the fucking time. i don't want to root for the bengal's defense, or players on other teams. i'm a hater, i want 100% Steelers domination each and every week. I'm a true fan. Fantasy football has had a huge negative impact on the NFL, for the worse.

well steeler domination didn't happen last week as they fell victim to the greatest qb coaching duo in the nfl of all time

you want to know whats made a huge negative impact on the NFL?
cheating
guess who has been caught cheating twice as much as the patriots

the pittsburgh steelers

http://yourteamcheats.com/PIT

looks like the steelers are bad for football
perhaps they have made much more of a negative impact on the nfl than fantasy sports itself

Seen that site many times and the only people I have ever seen share it are Patriots fans[oh what a surprise]. A lot of the things on there considered "cheating" are a joke. Like they have bounty gate listed on there as cheating, just laughable. Most likely a patriots fan made that site.

i'm sorry, but being paid to injure players under contract is most definately cheating.
the real joke is everyone jumping on the patriots dick to 'prove cheating' when [oh what a surprise] it never happened at all.
i don't think i've seen the patriots come back from an offseason with blazing passion until this year, the league in trouble.

uhhmmm I'm pretty sure there wasn't any evidence that they were ever getting paid extra to "hurt" players. They were getting paid to hit players, you know football?

Re: daily fantasy sports: football or myth

According to testimony and the email with the bounty prices, they got paid more the longer a target was out of the game. It wasn't technically "to injure", but that's the only way to reliably get a player out of a game.

i'm sorry but these football players and their nfl/players association sign too much paperwork for me to believe purposely putting other client's contracts at risk would somehow not violate some sort of term or agreement.

the fact that they actually had a pricelist looks even worse, its practically a hit list. imagine a player involved in bounty gate goes to hit a player without possession and gives up a score, all the hitmen in vegas would have work

last weeks line up:
t. brady 27.62
d. martin 6.40
j stewart 12.10
j. edelman 21.60
l. fitzgerald 14.70
t. williams 11.00

k time to dfs blog for the remainder of this thread

Image

hello folks, week two is over and the football season is underway
this week my lineup was able to win my double up entry on the margin, but failed to net the bigger payout smaller pool of winners therefore breaking even

the feeling of watching a player you picked at a minimal salary miss pass after pass in the end zone is nothing short of a myther's feeling of the dreadful dudding clutch puss.
i picked scott chandler at flex past weekend for a mere 2,600$ opening up stud selections in other positions and but he went bust instead of boom
however considering his price he may have reached his value

week 2 lineup:
c palmer - 22.20
j forsett - 12.00
m lynch - 9.20
j edelman 33.90
a green 13.50
t williams 18.40
t kelce 9.80
s chandler 5.30
rams defense 4.00

my running backs forsett and lynch got beat up this weekend, totaling zero touchdowns costing 6,200 and 7,200 to pick which should have been spent elsewhere, rams defensive performance against the awful redskins squad isn't comparable (rams were 8th highest picked player/position on draftkingz last weekend)
a 2 week comparison signifies to go for value plays in runningbacks and save the salary for more important slots (the wide receivers)

edelman 5th most points last week and over 50 pts in 2 weeks in fantasy this year (along with gronk), although i'm thinking the patriots mostly run the ball after taking an early against upcoming game against jacksonville, so next week it may be best to look elsewhere in the receiving corps !

speaking of upcoming games week 3
tentative line up
r wilson - 7k
l murray - 5.8k
d woodhead - 4.4k
j jones - 4.8k
d thomas - 8k
t benjamin - 4.2k
t eifert - 4.8k
l bell - 7.5k
cardinals defense - 3.1k
lo 400

myth pix
to kirk and ghengis' chagrin pittsburgh's version of beast mode, LEVEON BELL, will be making his start of the year i think he will run all over the rams defense that let me down last weekend.
lemarco murry should run all over crun's browns despite being on oakland, in a game either team can win. i'm enjoying the manziel-benjamin chemistry as much as cleveland and there is no reason they shouldn't be able to penetrate the raiders defense (especially if the raiders are potentially leading the game).
cardinals defense gonna eat asmo's 49ers below average offense for breakfast, and i'm also tempted to take carson palmer over russell wilson because of whats going on with their formerly top tier defense
gotta keep an eye on jamal charles having potential to run all over honkey's packer as well on monday night football, although it may be limited if kansas city falls behind early to the aerial onslaught of aaron rodgers. with jordy nelson out, j jones has been a steal under 5k these first few weeks as rodger's #2 go to

PTW
m jones vs NYG
a robinson vs NE
l fitzgerald vs SF
c palmer - vs SF
a brown - vs STL
s chandler - vs JAX
d lewis vs JAX
j edelman vs JAX
j charles vs GB
t williams (no romo) vs ATL
SEAHAWKS DEFENSE vs no cutler CHI
PANTHERS DEFENSE vs NO
BENGALS DEFENSE vs bal
HOUSTON DEFENSE vs TB

I know they got paid, oh well. As far as I'm aware there was no evidence at all in the recording they got that they were being paid to hurt other players. They were being paid to make good football plays. Football is becoming soft because of people like you.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger broke an NFL record by throwing 12 touchdowns in back-to-back games during the 2014 season.

Nice job brady with your 7 TDs. That's cute. Anyone could dink and dunk in that system. brady can't improvise, throw down field, or scramble for shit. "He" will be the next caitlyn jenner.

its 45 minutes to kickup and ive decided to go with a new lineup

brady
lewis
randle
edelman
green
moncrief
cook
lynch
jets

none of my players were in the thursday nights games and the entry in 1st only has 97 points with one player to go and overall no players actually worth their price beside redskins RB J. Reed who hit 15 pts for a 3.8k salary

original line up has been throw into a 3 dollar 38k entry 100k pot with a bigger 1st place prize than the 100 dollar 444 entry 40k pot, let's see where the chips fall ! :ugeek:

dunno what you are bragging about. beating the perennially worst team in the NFL. a cheap shot on ben of course. if it was brady, that player would have been banned from the NFL. because robert kraft and your entire idiot franchise sucks roger goodell's dick. Taking an NFL suspension to the LEGAL SYSTEM? Do you fucking realize how corrupt that is? Seriously, face the reality, your entire franchise needs to crash and burn. Bunch of cheating socialist bastards who are seriously corrupting the world's greatest spectacle sport, and not to mention society. i wish nothing but a painful and cruel death to tom brady, and i mean that with every ounce of my heart.

haha, pittsburgh stealers go from club vigilante rapist at quarter back to certified dog killer. i still see pittsburgh making the playoffs but the next few weeks may be rough. they don't have a bye week for another two months so if bell or brown go down it could be game over for the team robert kraft paid to be cursed by the commishnah TO roger goodell
remember last time vick stepped in to lead as quarter back ? he admitted he wasn't expecting it or prepared lol deja vu

speaking of being prepared (159)
those last minute picks in green and randle were worth huge points 48, 30, if only i picked randal cobb and aaron rodgers who took me out of the profit margin on monday
sadly cook, jets and lynch for the 2nd consecutive week all sucked cocks
edelman wasn't worth his price and moncrief wasn't that impressive either

original lineup scored 10 points higher at 169

week 3:
ryan vs HOU
randle @ NO
woodhead vs cle
fitzgerald vs stl
moncrief vs jax
smith sr @ pit
j. witten @ NO
allen vs cle
CARDINALS D

the home games should be huge, the new orleans d gets scorche every week and steve smith jr and the ravens should have a good week against a pittsburgh defense who's been giving it up like ruin on prom night

no new england or tennessee this week

esports LoL:
seems liek draft kingz jumping onto the esports scene.

You probably shouldn't invest so highly into your QB in future weeks. You can get more value from WR'S and RB's that are heavily involved in the passing game.

Re: daily fantasy sports: football or myth

Posted: 02 Oct 2015, 18:22
by par73
i would dump running backs into the same pool with quarter backs, plenty of the rb's heavily involved in passing game are under-priced for their potential upsides.

i am back to zero profit after having a few free weeks to play after an encouraging start. time to take the lessons of the first 4 weeks into consideration to get back into the money

week 4 garbage
a dalton 21.44
j randle 8.6
k williams 16.00
l fitzgerald 15.9
a. green 15.2
d thomas 18.3
kelce 8.9
woodhead 17.80
eagles 3.00

i was fairly confident about the eagles defense being able to contain the redskins offense but they let them slip over 20 points while recording a single sack (and a fumble recovery)
randle was far from as explosive as he was the week before that as dallas falls apart and kelce gave up a fumble against a tough cincinatti defense

dalton, woodhead and buffalo rb k. williams (mccoy out !) were great players in production for the price. together they scored 55.24 worth 11.9k while i went all out on high paying receivers green thomas and fitzgerald costing 22.2 k scoring less at 49.40.
double the price for less value, what a bunch of fucking duds.

on second thought asmo, thanks to your advice i now believe any over priced piece of shit can get a big question mark on being worth a pick during the week.
with that said, i'm excited for week 5 in the return of the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS and TOM BRADY
a very well coached team and one where value is found in the least likely of places (brady 200th pick, edelman, runningbacks they find on the streets and plop in the system).

there is only one consistent scoring threat whom i deem priced high but appropriately and thats gronkowski. gronk almost averages his baby fucking whale jay jersey number (87) for touchdowns per game with .86
if you want to leverage all other football dfs salaries around a player, gronkowski is that player.

the irony of losing last week is that over priced pieces of shit can fail you, whom your line up will practically cater to due to salary restriction. i don't think any of those wide receivers average close to gronk in avg touchdowns per game. fitz .54, d thomas .57, a. green .59. a testament to an obvious statement on picking players heavily involved in the passing game.

and so enters week 5, panthers dolphins vikings and jets take a break.
most of these games look to be a smoke show of scoring and maybe even a close upset cleveland at baltimore, some of the better defenses in the league are taking a break this week.

qtr regular season top7 td's per game by team (remaining <2.9):
green bay 3.2
buffalo 3.5
tennessee 4.0
cincinnati 4.0
atlanta 4.2
arizona 4.5
new england 4.7

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/06/sport ... .html?_r=0
http://www.forbes.com/sites/marcedelman ... s-scandal/
now that the dfs companies are banning their employees from participating in each other's events we can expect a more level playing field and less of CONDIA

by par73
you're funny pogue, i wonder what kirk's game time life is like watching his most savored professional sports team with a black quarterback after spending years spamming the word idiot in every non-mazz related game
its cold poetic justice this season, i'm just hoping someone watching the games with kirk has time to submit a video before the rage tilts kirk to rape them in the bathroom with no chance of leaving without losing a case or two

week 5:
eli manning 32.75 (poetic justice)
l. bell 25.70
d. lewis 23.30
t. benjamin 14.30 (bring back johnny football)
j edelman 25.00
j jones 15.70 (GB)
A. gates 30.20
V jackson 4.40
patriots 14.00

no big kahunas yet but im making my 50 50s and doing well in tournament scale dfs

vincient jackson's team scores 38 pts on jacksonville defense but only manages a single reception and a 2pt conversion. smh that's just not enough to get the job done a i could have picked that wilson cat from chicago who was priced at 3.4k and put up 20 (vj 5k).
jay cutler cheaper than bortles whos injured this week

week 6 :
the cowboys, raiders, rams and vincent jackson's team are off this week.
AFC:
the patriots are going to indianapolis
houston is going to jacksonville

indy gives up more yards each game on average than both of those teams involved in a high octane slugfest, and are against a team who's fan base has been hysterically waiting for their gladiator thomas bradicus to enter the coliseum

NFC:
atlanta @ new orleans thursday night football looks to be one of the best ways to advertise the wonderful true sport of american football this season, atlantas points scored has been paralell to devonta freeman's fantasy point average and NO gives up the cookie like flatline first blood at rune. brees should be netting at least 300 yds

a nice stack with these any of these teams and a great defense (the matchups for top tier defenses this week are cream of crop) seem like the safe route, playing sunday only to disregard devonta freeman picks might even be safer

go cubs

LOL. Football is just a bunch of rich white people who tell those nigs what to do. Vick sucks, but with players like Bell, Brown, and Bryant, the steelers are the most talented offensive team in the league by far.

DION LEWIS NOT PLAYING THIS WEEK
PLAY BLOUNT !

last week lewis sucked !

week 6 recap: my line went 157.32 good enough for some 5050s and head to heads

HOYER 24.22
FREEMAN 38.60
LEWIS 6.9
DIGGS 22.90
EDELMAN 17.20
HURNS 11.0
GRONKOWSKI 14.0
GATES 18.50
PANTHERS 4.0

week 7 thoughts
i like palmer rivers at qb
mccoy gurley ivory and blunt at rb (oh and freeman of course)
peterson might blow up too
wr looks like diggs is set to explode again as a sleeper (he almost broke records in the combine and i gambled on him last weekend for great reward). r matthews for miami who plays in about an hr another potential sleepr. travis benjamin is lights out usually but i don't think browns get more than 2 tds this week and more likely only one (either going to benjamin or the TE)
fitz jbrown bode well with palmer match up
allen should blow up again this weekened against oak
amendola a good sneak wr pick
kelce should get the ball whether or not alex smith plays. i like clevelands barnridge at TE, d walker with no marriota shouldnt work.
gates looks better than olsen, witten doesn't explode on plays, gronk too expensive.
this week its all about gambling with the rams defense

LETS GO

it is now week 9 in fantasy football folks !
plays of gurley and diggs non stop the past few weeks have paid off, keeping my hand in the game.

this week the name of the quarterback game could be oakland's derek carr (5,500 on draft kings) weilding a ranked 5th passing offense in the league. mind you they will play denver soon but nonetheless carr's 3 interceptions on the year are as close to brady status as you could get from a young stud like this.
ben watson got eared some solid points as a surpirse te pick recently but i don't like his matchup against tenesee, howevr
last week delanie walker got me a fat amount of points for a cheap price at the te/flex positions and this week i think he could again going up against new orlean's utter shit defense.
speaking of defense, the giants and new orleans put on a show with a 13 combined touch down game but in real foot ball games against real football teams this doesn't happen.
while a 13 td game was very enteratining, the pats match up against denver will probably be the best game of the regular season and perhaps entire season and it will be the only week you shouldn't play them.
washington pretty good against rb's but no so much against the pass or passing rb's so d. lewis should be a good play. i suggest against picking patriots runningbacks however because some say there is no rhyme or rhythm to how bellichamp and mcdaniels run the offense and will utilize all tools.
i probaboy won't play edelman either because while they give up the pass and the pats are an air machine they are fairly lockdown against #1 wrs
mariota, and tyrod taylor also great cheap qb picks this week
heath miller at te flex and gronk really isn't bad for 10.7k total

not sure whats uglier, dion lewis going down last weekend or all this crap talk on the radio about the giants and pats game this weekend.

week 10:
michael evans gave me a big 25 dkfp and ended up the 3rd most productive receiver of the week, delanie walker was #1 TE, and playing mariota on a second line up saved me some losses.
derek carr on my main lineup was 9th most efficent QB
lewis went down so of course blount blew up ! i suppose there is some rhyme and reason to the pats running game when one of the players loses it.
edelman didn't make top 10 receivers either but theres a good chance he should be there this weekend.

and so every gpp game in week 9 went something like this: if you picked antonio brown or deangelo williams, you won. if you picked both you won big. if you didn't pick them, you lost.
i won most h2hs where i played against no antonio brown/deangelo williams.

this week in fantasy football? who knows. while the h2h 50/50 approach seems to be play the most solid lineup you can, winning gpp is going to require researching players less known or likely to be picked this weekend. as romantically zen as i tend to perceive things, i'm disregarding luck here; a well balanced 'unpopular lineup' is the way to go.
there's a bunch of nice popular picks that should pay out this weekend, for example erin rodgers vs worst team in league, adrian beat-my-son vs raiders, but there are others such as flacco/ bortles against each other's respective GUP defenses that could work out. i think people will sleep on fitzpatrick this weekend as well. that jags receiving core starting to get noticed a bit more, and with steve smith jr out deciding on a likely flacco td target could work out well.
brandon bolden is going to step in lewis role because NE doesn't run 3 down backs.
larryfitzgerald and especially john brown will be slept on against a seattle secondary. i think one of them goes big.
jordan matthews should be able to produce big again this week being slept on.
bryant/dallas receving core could be getting confident, and mcfadden also being slept on after 3 weeks of ridiculous usage.
buffalo will run, k williams is a nice guy
b. watson, j. witten and j. thomas will all be slept on for TE's this weekend.
d. walker will be a solid option at TE as long as mariota is healthy as seen last weekend.

i've come to realize the best way to troll people on and off the internet is take kirk's attitude with the steelers/big ben rothlesburger (out for the rest of the season so no more antonio brown bullshit)
and replace it with the patriots and tom brady. people just can't get enough of those imaginary deflated balls.

i wonder how long until the massachusetts attorney general bans wager dfs

then again, fuck new york.

god i hate fantasy sports, especially football. people root for teams/players they normally would hate just to boost their 'fantasy points'

what a lame excuse

also rooting for a player isn't correlated to a 'boost' in fantasy points,
because, the murder rate and ice cream sales increase in the summer.
