Tournament Start Date

The start date is set for June 20th as of now. Would people prefer to push the start back date a week to June 27th to give teams more time? Be aware that the 4th of July weekend will probably be a BYE.

Probs push a whole month, frankly.

If I were the host of this shit I'd host it in the winter. Everyone is indoors, work is slower so people have more down-time...

hell man... scientists know the economy slows down during the winter. Slowed down economy = more home time.
Cold outside = more inside time.

More inside + home time = good myth tourneys.
Just food for thought.

I say we move with momentum we have. I think we all agree and wish for more teams, but where are they going to come from?

If you stayed in lobby all day and watched the different players that leave and come you would notice A LOT of them aren't in a MWC team. You could probably construct 1-3 MAYBE 4 more teams with them. IF everyone encouraged everyone else to do it people would probably make teams. Some people don't even get on GoS Forums and They only hear rumors of MWC. Tell people to do it, if numbers of doers overwhelm non-doers they might form together.

No different than any other year, and seldom bears fruit.

We are better off agreeing to increase roster sizes with the four teams, so players don't need to commit to showing up to a set time to play an ancient piece of work every week without fucking their respective team over.

Lord---Scary Owl is correct. There are a number of regular myth 2 FFA players who should be collected and added to teams, or formed together onto rabble teams before the tournament starts. I recommend delaying for AT LEAST a week. If people are eager to start, as I know Ratking and myself are, another possibility would be to have another qualifying week (rather than just one), and keeping rosters open (for new additions, if not for trades) during that time. Increasing roster size, as Paris recommends, is also a good idea if there are no more captains willing to assemble teams, and is Asmodian is firm on the tournament structure with only a single qualifying week. I think we should all do our best to encourage more people to sign up, and to provide a great MWC experience for the new players, as well as the veterans. There's a lot of dedication and talent out there if you know where to look.

Is there a blue bar on GoS yet? At work, can't check.

Switch this to Myth 2 Summer Series and make "the winter series" or whatever it's called the official MWC.

Also host a Fall Series and a New Year Series

I can start a youtube channel and replace NewMutator as the annotator. We can establish a tournament ranking system and actually keep tabs on player records.
