It won't show up nicely in the username area (as per Pyro's comment) but I could add some sort of dot command to allow you to chat it as the start of your message or something... what's the use case in particular?

Oh yeah that's not gonna work from a metaserver point of view. If you want timestamps for previous messages that they don't intentionally put in them that's a client feature so refer to Pyro :)
