Can you put in a way to insert a time-stamp in chat, either at-will or constant?

It won't show up nicely in the username area (as per Pyro's comment) but I could add some sort of dot command to allow you to chat it as the start of your message or something... what's the use case in particular?

If tabbed for a while, someone says hello but it could've been an hour ago.

Oh yeah that's not gonna work from a metaserver point of view. If you want timestamps for previous messages that they don't intentionally put in them that's a client feature so refer to Pyro
