Bitches what credit cards do you have and why?
1. American Express Preferred:
6% cash back on grocery stores
3% cash back on gasoline, select department stores, and some online shopping
1% cash back everything else
Got $150 cash back after spending $1,000 within the first 3 months.
2. Capital One Quicksilver:
$100 cash back after your first $500 in purchases within the first 3 months.
1.5% cash back on EVERYTHING
Easy to redeem rewards, no increments or limits to earnings.
3. Chase Freedom:
Rolling 5% categories that are actually usable (groceries, gas, department stores)
Amazon.com shopping bonuses and redemption
$100 cash back after your first $500 in purchases within the first 3 months.
4. Discover IT Card:
Just got this one, $150 cash back after spending $750 within the first 3 months.
5% cash back on certain shopping quarterly up to $1,500 in purchases
5. GM Card
5% earnings on up to $5,000 in purchases each year (to be redeemed toward a new GM vehicle)
2% Earnings for the rest of the year.
NO LIMITS ON EARNINGS, and they do not expire (Could earn a free car over a long time)
If used properly, the American Express and Chase Freedom cards will give you the best cash back combination. I don't really like Discover's cash back categories and the limits they set on redemptions and earnings, but the intro cash back will be well worth it. Also I like to have at least 1 of every major credit card provider; VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover.
