Par blazed his way to a high score of 39 points, moving him to 2nd place & within striking distance of overtaking adren.
HOWEVER, adren has now passed the halfway mark at 152 points.
The plot thickens.

My schedule has forced my hand and FFA League will be henceforth split into two conferences.
America Conference: 8:30-10:30 pm EST every WEDNESDAY
Barbaria Conference: 11 am-1 pm EST every FRIDAY
All scores will be cummulative and you are welcome to show and play in both conferences.

Well I will stick with the America Conference, though I dont like the hours. Im usually in bed by 9pm CST because I wake up at 3 every morning for work. 6-8, 7-9, or 8-10 EST, Would be better for me personally, but there are more people involved then just me
Wont be able to make any of the Barbaria conference games since I actually have a job. Not going to lose $$ just to play a game

A poignant drama of gore and emotions spilling out onto the killing floor of myth tonight.
Paris scored 40 points, overtaking adren by 2 points. But surely adren scored at least couple points to maintain his lead?
No. He failed to score a single point.
So we have a new leader, and a new enemy, Paris in Flames with 146 points.

Yes because i only played like 6 games and half the idiots in the game did everything they could to keep me from winning. i.e. gimble koth... easy win for me until 2 players decided to rush me instead of playing for time... or the gyre bc game that i didnt get to fight anyone because bainst decided to run. Great games, indeed. Also... bitch move taking a win away from paris by letting palli/ponder contest with a lone wight on KG... these games are getting ridiculous... people aren't even playing to win anymore.

well you should just put me out of the running. No way I can make games at noon-1pm on a friday. This other conference would have been better on a saturday to give people who actually have jobs/ goto school a shot. If paris is the only one showing up twice a week tourney is good as his
Personally I thought it was dumb to allow people to play both days but thats just me

It did? Shit I'm going to have to de-bar some points and have a word with Funk then! No problem playing extra games but each conference should be equally long to make things fair.

Hmm, wouldn't it be best to try and encourage things to go longer rather than shorter? I know you need to balance it with just allowing "any old rabble play" but good full games are getting rarer these days.

Having to show up during a particular window encourages people to get on at the same time... it's all a balancing act between giving people big enough windows to get on and keeping the window small enough that they get on at the same time.
I think I'm too lazy to dock points this week, and it's a bit unfair to do it retroactively, but I'll tell Funk to stop adding games at the appropriate time.

Ok well the barbarian bracket should be allowed more time to play in any way since the majority of the games have been played in the late night division regardless.

Well the games were very undermanned during the first 2 hours and the break times between them were very long (at least at a couple of times we had to wait quite a bit to get 4 players inside the game) - that's why I decided to keep hosting longer (although I reallly badly wanted to go sleep lol) Not sure what's the best solution here - mb we should change the hours a little bit or like Paris suggested allow the Euro bracket more time?

Hmmm yes I understand. Like I said I won't go back and dock points. I think that when more people gain cognizance of the bracket there will be more players. Let's give it another week before we change things? I worry that if we move it back it will become less of a euro bracket and more of a target for zee americans swooping down like vultures.

I think
a good way to
measure how long a bracket 'should be' is on
the total number of points earned by participants in that night,
rather than any other method or significant measure
i.e.
- games played,
highest # of wins by a player,
900 damage dealt by a player in one week
.
some games are worth 6 points (winning a 4 man ffa game), some games are worth 12 games (winning a 7 player 7+start map)
perhaps this idea could be implemented in future ffa leagues.

Looks like Funk came out with Week 8B's highest score, 45.
HOWEVER
Paris scored 30 points, enough to put him 1 point over the 300 point threshold which means...
PARIS IS THE FFA LEAGUE 2013 CHAMPION
congrats to Paris and thanks to everyone who played, hope to see you for FFA LEAGUE 2014 coming NEXT FALL!

whaaat? this 2 conference deal is bogus lol... no Euros even seemed to show up to the Barbarian conference. It basically just gave Par an opportunity to place twice a week lol... and against weaker/less opponents.

Difficulty of opponents aside, par only played 1 more game total than you
Anyways next time maybe Milk should split up the two divisions into separate conceptual "leagues" if the attendance is very different between them.

I am happy with how fun FFA League turned out both this year and last.
That said, next years FFA League will include a number of changes, while striving to preserve FFA League as a long-running show and play street-myth league.
Also, I will be hosting an actual TFFA 4x4 tourney over Winter Break, start finding your partners now!

Ha, I knew you would immediately need teams/team scoring even after I did the player scoring

Anyways let me know how you want that scoring to work if you want something automated. I'll do my best to get team scoring features in place in time.

so paris played against the other conference twice and ended up winning it all? like adren said BOGUS he was just saying on thursday how he wasnt going to play against the other conference unless adren showed up. so he was only one of top 3 to play against both conferences. what a lamer
and you can say he only has one less game...yada yada Alot of people came and left. I left an hour early one week myself. I however have a job so I couldnt show up twice a week to play different opponents.
