GoS was splitting the community, that was a valid argument when it was happening, one which you also chose to ignore. Do you see me talking about that now? The actual hypothetical arguments I brought up are completely valid, aren't you already having server issues? A few months versus a decade?

So Pyro is going to sit on mnet till jesus returns, just to make sure everyone transfers over to GoS? Also, what about google, or having GoS as the default server in a patch? It's blatantly obvious to anyone reading that these are major issues towards being visible to new/returning players. But please, just brush it off as whining and trolling, or quit the thread again for the fourth time.

So wait, you're admitting that it didn't turn out to be "valid", but that... uhh... it was a concern at the time? So can you just flat out say that it didn't turn out to be a valid concern then or would connecting those dots be too much like being wrong (even about that one point)?

Regarding all of the myriad of things that could be done to bring Myth into the forefront of modern society, why don't you lay out a priority list of a few reasonable things that we can do as a community to help people find GoS, etc. and then help us do them? Let's do something constructive here beyond the bickering and theory-crafting.

It was valid at the time, the community was split between two servers, you've had numerous people tell you on these forums that is not a good situation and I'm pretty sure I outright said everyone should be on one server in the end regardless?

It's your server buddy, I'm telling you what the outstanding issues are. Google bomb GoS and get it in as the default server in a patch. If Pyro wants to continue holding up a sign on mnet then by all means.

Why not put http://www.gateofstorms.net/faq on golf tees, there are a lot of similarities in the games like balls, flags and hills.

I like told punk-user to get this done weeks ago with the default server being Gate of storms, not new news there.

As for the whole split user bullshit. Has anyone actually noticed that 70% of the users in all these screenshots are in both servers?

Right, I did ask them about it but it requires both magma agreement and waiting for the next version to be released. There is an upcoming hotfix so I will ask them again, but if you guys think it should be the default, I'd encourage you to go voice your opinions over on the PM forums.

Note that we did get it added to http://www.getmyth.com though...

I apologize for my grossly misleading incorrect screenshot. I was unaware of them problems with the mariusnet player list. I later checked how many players there were on mnet 1 hour later, and there was only 7 of them my self not included. Two of them were same peope as in Gos.

However, I am not really interested in getting sucked into this argument any further as I don't even play the game nor plan on doing so and I don't have a strong feeling about this issue one way or the other. But I'm glad that GKG now has me labeled as someone who tries to kill myth. If there's anything I've done for this community, it's to try to hasten it's demise. Really hit the nail with that one.

Yeah, everyone just needs to stop posting so we can hurry up and get Myth killed.

Ok ive made a forum post, submit your approval on this thread to get this patch encouraged. You all bitch about Magma not doing anything good for the community, so now is the time to submit your approval of this new server
and make them do something good for a change.

I don't think he was speaking to you with that comment, grim. In fact it was me who reacted negatively and GKG defended you and pointed out that it was probably just a misunderstanding (which indeed it was). I already apologized for my swift reaction, so no need to bring GKG into it.

Thanks for making the post drunken, let's see what the feeling of the wider community is. Honestly I don't think it's particularly contentious since we're only taking about the default for new users that have just installed the game.

Back up now. But yeah, current host is turning out to be not that reliable (nothing to do with the site itself) and I've already mostly set up on another host that should be much better. (See the thread in the metaserver forums.) Planning to wait until after this weekend's MWC games to throw the switch in case there are any kinks to iron out, but I'm as frustrated as anyone with the current guys.

Will keep people informed with posts in the metaserver/announcements forums, and sorry for the downtime. Should be much more robust (and likely even faster) after the move.

Unfortunately I have to admit that the 4 minutes it would take me to switch servers as slain any desire I have to play myth
