Since this MWC have strong roster restrictions and his majesty Grim don't play myth anymore (and can't be accurate with his ratings), we can make a poll for every MWC player and let community give TA. I test this idea on falcon and think its representative way to make accurate ratings.


I suppose to use 0-10 scale system which is more detailed, accurate and funny.
Converting is easy : 0-3 (1 Ball) 4-5 (2 Balls) 6-7 (3 Balls) 8-9 (4 Balls) 10 (5 Balls)

We will have around 100 polls, and everybody is welcome to make poll about any player but only one poll for player.
Good old players especially welcome to make polls about old/unactive(MWC only)/silence/etc players.

Every grade of scale need description, individual for player.

Polls is not the way to do this if you wanted to. Better way would be to find a site (or get toxyn to import/implement something here) wherein everyone gets a list of all the players and they simply sort them roughly according to skill. Then from that you aggregate a global sorted list and just put cutoffs for the ball rankings.

Polls will take a million years, you'll get way too few responses, etc. It'll be a gigantic waste of time.

I think it was Shai who emailed all the participants of his 1v1 tourney with the list of players and asked for replies with ratings. No idea how many replies he got or if he used it at all.

Just get 3 sensible people to rate everyone who's signed up and use those. I suggest EW, Arz and wwo. I could do it as well if those people don't want to.

In MWC09 where everyone was allowed to give everyone else TA's, my ball rating average was 3.5 / 5

And that is what I think about public rating systems.

I agree with Dantski, choose a small group of players to do the ratings since they are important for this type of tournament. The players that he named seem like an ok group to do it if they are interested.

active players are only ones who know whats up. Let asmo/gkg/and ??? do them.

Well, I gonna make few polls (starting with gkg's team) and look how this will work this time.
Btw, can someone who knows monty make poll about him cause I dont know much about his skill and personality.
