A single berserk reached us yesterday, after having come all the way over the mountains from the city of Willow, fourteen hundred miles away. He delivered to Alric a single package the size of a man's fist, wrapped in rags, and refuses to talk with anyone about events in the West.
Yeah, that is the one shitty thing about MMA, if you pay that kind of money and the main event only lasts 13 seconds you feel robbed. At least with something like the Super Bowl you get a full game. I know you get other fights before hand, but who gave a fuck about anything except Rockhold/Weidman, McGregor/Aldo?
Souza vs Romero was good too... and how the fuck could the ref NOT call the fight? Aldo was knocked the fuck out. Should he just have let Conor hammer fist him to death? And the fans definitely got their money's worth with Wideman vs Rockhold. Would have been nice to see a longer fight between Aldo and McGregor... but ya... that's MMA.

Oh, the ref was definitely right in calling the fight. You just would have thought two fighters that good would have gone at least a minute, but yeah...MMA. If anything the Wiedman/Rockhold fight should've been stopped before it was. That was some fucking NASTY ground and pound there.
MMA is like watching children on the playground in 2nd grade fight.
The most basic, plain, non advanced moves being used. They take the "Art" out of martial arts. Also 99% of these guys have shit attitudes. They are in really good shape though...

I don't care for either. It's too difficult for me to get into a sport where the fighters only fight a few times a year. Boxers are definitely not better fighters than the people in MMA though.
Ya the Wideman Rockhold fight definitely should have been called at the end of that round... Herb Dean is a shitty ref... he either calls fights too early, or doesn't call them when they should be... and Renwood.. LOL. It's not a fucking dance contest... you don't try to be artistic when you have another man trying to knock you the fuck out...
Lol adren, its about using the most basic shit. As in, if you try that shit vs somebody who is a real martial artist, they will get in 1 punch and break a jaw. Or a cheek. You cant compare people who have practiced for like 1-5 years vs people who have trained since age 5 until their mid 30s. That basic shit works vs other basic minded people. Not that all of UFC people are like that, some have real backgrounds. But most are sloppy fucks....they are just in really good shape.

GSP began learning Kyokushin karate at age seven from his father and later from a Kyokushin Karate Master. He took up wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boxing after his karate teacher died when he was around 16 years old.
Lyoto Machida began training in karate at age 3 and earned his black belt at the age of 13. He also began training in sumo at seven and Brazilian jiu-jitsu and boxing at sixteen. He won a number of amateur karate tournaments, including the 2001 Pan American Karate tournament. Later he travelled to Thailand to study Muay Thai, to Japan to study grappling at the NJPW Dojo and finally to United States to pursue his UFC career.
Anthony Pettis started training taekwondo and boxing at the age of 5. In college he also started wrestling. When he went to train mixed martial arts at Roufusport at the age of 18 he had already a 3rd degree black belt in tae kwon do.
Anderson Silva is an expert in jiu-jitsu, capoeira, tae kwon do, and muay thai.
Ronda Rousey began training in Judo at the age of 11. She has been a world junior champion and Olympic bronze medalist.
Demian Maia studied Judo, Kung Fu, and Karate at a young age. He is a 4th degree black belt in BJJ.
Yes, this shit was ripped from wikipedia. This list could go on and on. How the fuck are these fighters not TRUE martial artists? I'd argue that most fighters in the UFC got their start at a young age in one or more disciplines.
