Concepts you don't understand
What are concepts or things in life you don't understand?
Big Bang Theory - I don't understand the whole big bang theory. How can nothing create the universe? 0 x 0 = something? What came BEFORE there WAS something? And how could any matter or vibration even come to exist to even make this theory plausible?
Algebra - basic principles of it are logical and easy to understand, a x 10 = 100, a = 10. But the advanced number substituting and what not, what the fuck? Other than algebra teachers, who the fuck would ever need or use this stuff on a daily basis? Statistics, mathematics, geometry, physics, calculus, all make sense to me. Algebra? Retarded.
Drinking until you throw up - Seriously, I hate throwing up more than any other feeling. Why people find this fun or 'cool' has always been beyond me.

Why we have jails (i know the actually why, so jews can make even more money) but they are pointless. Criminals get treated better than victims in some cases. For every single crime of theft and above they should just have the death penalty, if someone can't follow the rules and has to make other peoples lives shitty one of the other 8 billion people can have their place on Earth.

Agreed. That is an underrated aspect to our national debt. Tons of billions of dollars pumped into sustaining lives for people who don't deserve to live. If you take a life, and the killing is no justified by self-defense, then you need to die if found guilty. Set an example. Don't fucking murder people or you will be dead too.
Also people should not be entitled.... michael vick should have never been allowed back in the NFL and made an example. If you go to prison for blatantly doing something as ruthless as he did, then he should not have any entitlement back into a lifestyle that gives you all the necessities you need and more for life.

Our whole universe was in a hot dense state,BIG KROK V8 SS wrote:What are concepts or things in life you don't understand?
Big Bang Theory - I don't understand the whole big bang theory.
Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait...
The Earth began to cool,
The autotrophs began to drool,
Neanderthals developed tools,
We built a wall (we built the pyramids),
Math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries,
That all started with the big bang!

Noah's Ark:
How did two of every animal know to come to the ark? How long did it take Noah and his family to build it? Did Noah really live to 900 years of age? If god wanted to destroy humanity why not just snap his fingers and vaporize the planet, and make a new one?
Jesus Of Nazareth:
Was there really a man named Brian who was born across the street from him? Did he really marry a whore? Could he do magic tricks? If he was born in Israel and spoke aramaic, why does he look like a Viking?
Why doesn't the bible explain all this ? I think that book has some issues...

The big bang theory doesn't explain (or try to explain) how something came from nothing. It explains how our universe evolved from a single point into what it is now. Where that single point came from or what happened "before" the big bang (if that question even makes sense) is unknown.

Yes, it is an entire assumption though. I understand that, but I don't understand how it could come to be in the first place. That's the part that I don't understand.Melekor wrote:The big bang theory doesn't explain (or try to explain) how something came from nothing. Re: Concepts you don't understand
It's the most plausible explanation given so far when taking all science currently understands into account. It may or may not be fact, but right now it's the best science can provide. One of the things they are studying at the large hadron collider is the big bang theory. Get in line if you don't understand how everything came to be, man has been searching for that answer forever. Some people believe in a god or a creator, some don't.
Re: Concepts you don't understand
well since there are laws in physics that matter is never destroyed (but can change) and the universe always expands, one could make the assumption that perhaps the entire universe was once more tightly compact and has resulted into our current "universe of expansion".
in reality though, how the assumption came about is a direct result of the interaction of human physicists and theologists; perhaps research said people to learn how the concept came about.

I'm pretty sure no one actually understands that partBIG KROK V8 SS wrote:Yes, it is an entire assumption though. I understand that, but I don't understand how it could come to be in the first place. I've heard that some versions of string theory hold that the big bang was caused by the collision of two higher [than 3] dimensional structures called branes. If this is true, it could give us a deeper understanding of the universe, such as an explanation for why the cosmic backround radiation has the pattern that it does. But it still doesn't explain where these branes came from. My personal opinion is that the "something from nothing" question is fundamentally unknowable - every additional layer peeled away will still leave the basic question unresolved.
Re: Concepts you don't understand
I've put together my own theory... black holes was said to absorb all matter and compress it, but a new theory explains them as having only 2 dimensions, while the universe around them have 3. So when something gets sucked into the black hole they go from 3D to 2D and becomes flat like a paper, still existing on the surface of the hole, which is called the event horizon.
Put this together with the strings that are supposed to be kilometers long and still invisible, sounds like they could be described as having only one dimension, 1D. Did they originate in the black holes? If something can lose one dimension and turn 2D, why not one more? Then if this last dimension, length, is also lost we end up with a point having no dimensions, 0D.
Reverse the process going from the point, to 1D strings, to 2D black holes and then to 3D and this could be the Big Bang.

Re: Concepts you don't understand
In other news, we still haven't found a gigantic flying piece of steel with hundreds of passengers who all carry personal GPS devices in addition to all the technology on the plane, yet you fuckers wanna tell me if Bigfoot existed, we would have found him by now.
That's right fuckers, he's jerkin off outside your mother's window.

We found Bigfoot in 1998 under the alias "KIRK'
