FFA Youtube Videos
Where are they?
No wonder we can't convince anybody to play this game.
I can't find a single 6 team FFA match posted to Youtube?.
Why aren't classic matches from every map made readily available for the average viewer yet?
If we are serious about playing Myth in the future and let's face it, most of us who remain are, perhaps it is time to do a bit of promotion.
This would work well with Milk Man's FFA League that is soon to begin.
I am willing to learn how to make videos, but as of yet I do not know how.
I have Adobe Premier, does that help?

Re: FFA Youtube Videos
You basically need something to capture your screen (FRAPS on Windows or equivalents) and something to edit the video. The latter is what Premiere can do, although even the free ones are perfectly capable for Myth films.
Other folks can jump in and help more, but it's not really that difficult. Basically just set up Myth to run 720p or 1080p, use capture software to capture the screen/game and then edit the resulting video into something you want to show

Re: FFA Youtube Videos
If enough people are interested we could make it into a sort of tournament.
Too bad that would exclude GKG from participating because I bet he would be good at it.
I am suggesting we have a
competition for who can post the best overall videos in a set timespan. Entry's will include any Myth related video and in game videos will get bonus points for shoutcast. There will be awards for best shoutcast, best shoutcaster, best team shoutcast, best video overall, best poster, and best all around video entry (ffa, 2-team, third party, coop, or cartoon (thinking of cremisi vids).
Winners get bragging rights I guess, but really the overall point is to spread the word and keep the Myth alive. In every generation of story tellers there is always those select few who carried Legend to Myth and Myth to Lore.
We must continue the cycle.
Let me leave you with a quote from Robert Jordan:
The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legends fade to Myth, and even Myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the third age by some, an Age yet to come, an age long pass, a wind rose in the Mountains of Mist. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings or endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.Wheel of Time
The Third Age, better known to us as The Wind Age. This is solid proof to me that there will be a Myth IV. The world has forgotten us, but we have not forgotten the world.

You can easily find Fraps Pro via torrent... that is what I use to capture. For editing, I've been using CyberLink PowerDirector... again, cracked version via torrent. I used to use Sony Vegas, which I actually liked quite a bit. Hell, you can make passable movies with Windows Movie Maker. A super easy way to make FFA vids would be to simply let auto-camera do it's thing while capturing the vid. Maybe I'll give it a go tonight and see how it turns out.
Re: FFA Youtube Videos
I don't think many ffa games have been casted because they just aren't that interesting to watch...

There are a few that PunkUser casted and LN as well. There just isn't any depth to them at all and nothing to say really other than "they're fighting"HeadHunterKC wrote:the point isnt so much to cast a ffa game...but then again..how the fuck is ffa not interesting to watch?
