ADRENALINE WINS FFAL PLAYOFFS!

A single berserk reached us yesterday, after having come all the way over the mountains from the city of Willow, fourteen hundred miles away. He delivered to Alric a single package the size of a man's fist, wrapped in rags, and refuses to talk with anyone about events in the West.

Just a few notes:

PG CTF? There is a reason nobody EVER plays this. Mid starts are doomed and that basically puts 2 people at a severe disadvantage in the tournament. I realize mid starts suck on BC and KOTH too, but not like on CTF... you are stuck in one place defending against 2 enemies immediately...

Carnage light Terries... 6 min is a little short no? There are not THAT many flags that long contests are a given like on drowned kingdom... I used to play this a ton on TFL and 8-9 min was standard.

Red Sand trow BC... again, 6 min is short. I mean think about it... you have MMD BC as 9 min... why would you made Red Sand 6?

That's all!

Okay I've recieved multiple complaints about PG CTF so I will be changing it. The problem is there is already too much KOTH and BC, so I need to find a 6 start dark map with good non BC/KOTH gameplay. Feel free to suggest something.

RSBB time was a typo, set it to 9 minutes instead of 6.

I always played Carnage Dark Terries @ 6 minutes. I'll up it to 8 after having talked to a few more mythers. Personally I think it should be 6, so if anyone wants to take my side speak up.

So according to the original criteria posted the only people who would Qualify are GKG,Adrenaline,Paris and I ranked in that order. I'm assuming Rawr and Lizardking will get an invite being past winners; that's still only 6.

I would also suggest giving invites to Myrk and Tirri, which are considered 2 of the best FFAers that are still around and I would include yourself as well being the organizer for 4+ years of ffa league.

That puts it up to 9 players (more likely 8 as I doubt Tirri is interested). What's your plan for selecting those final 4 players?

It might be interesting to do a 6 man play-in tournament for those final 4 spots with HMP,Funk,Vihaan & Shadow being invited based on their overall points from FFA league. Add in Gekko & Slate as the final 2 to be in the play-in round based on being some of the current best FFAers that weren't able to put in the proper amount of time in ffa league to challenge for the title.

1. GKG
2. Adren
3. Par
4. Asmo
5. Rawr
6. Lizardking
7. Myrk
8. Milkman
9. ?
10. ?
11. ?
12. ?

Pretty much agree with what Asmo said there. Would be nice if it had some serious legitimacy with all the best of the best FFAers in attendance.

For how great Lizardking says he is at ffa I figured he would have the balls to step up. Did you reach out to him?

Also your seeding is screwed up according to your original criteria, I don't care that much just wanted to get in the playoffs.

How is the seeding screwed up?

Yea both LK and tirri turned down the invites. Lk said he had "very little love for myth anymore." Tirri said he had "no time with tomfoolery" and went on some senile rant about American bias in tourneys.

9. Divisional 3rd (Asmodian Americas)

Only GKG,Paris,Adrenaline and I qualified based on original criteria and I have the 4th best score overall, but somehow HMP and Gekko are placed ahead of me? There are other errors, but that is the example I know the best.

Again I don't care I just want to play in the playoffs. I just don't understand how you came up with the seeding of the players is all.

@asmo I bump the next person up if someone has vacated the spot, thats how all the standings have been done thus far, this should come as no surprise

Here is the breakdown of the playoff contenders by WIN %:

GKG .37
gekko .35
HMP .31
adren .30
asmo .23
funk .23
par .22
garnish .18
shadow .17
cruniac .15
vihaan .14
rawr 0

I'd be willing to bet this closely predicts the playoff results.

Gkg takes overall 1st
par takes div 1st america (ahead of adren because higher overall)
adren takes div 1st euro
hmp takes overall 2nd because gkg, par, adren are already placed
asmo takes div 2nd america because gkg, par already placed (should be higher than gekko because higher overall score? not sure why milk has gekko ahead)
gekko takes euro 2nd because gkg, adren already placed
funk takes overall 3rd because everyone above is already placed (ahead of garn because he is 5th in div vs 6th)
garnish takes america 3rd (everyone above placed already)
vihaan should take euro 3rd (everyone above already placed, not sure why crun is listed above him?)
i assume crun, shad, rawr invited to 10-12 spots

Thats what I got anyways

I was under the understanding that the games after GKG got 500 pts didn't count, which at point I was 4th overall. Thanks for the explanation though. I didn't realize MM was counting the rest of those games.

We are a bit at an impasse with scheduling. It seems adren can't make Sunday but Gekko, HMP, and Zak can't make Saturday @ 2-4 pm et, which is shaping up to be the optimal time. I'm reaching out to people to see if anyone can be a bit more flexible.

If you think you could accommodate a few other times, please edit the poll. Note that you can select more than 1 time slot. Oh also I deleted all the troll posts so if you thought I'd recognize your fake name plz re-vote.

It's possible that we'll need subs. I myself can be a sub but we'll need more volunteers.

Well there is 2 brackets of 6. You could separate it into two weeks with 1 bracket on Saturday and the Other on Sunday.

Then you could do the finals the following week with the 6 that have qualified.

Not a bad idea asmo. Let me look into it, though it looks like ppl are consolidating around the sat time.

edit: On second thought that wouldn't work. Say adren makes the second round, for example, he then would be unable to play it on Sunday...

Playoffs will be 2-4 PM ET on SATURDAY.

Vihaan will prob be 30 minutes late but I'll sub for him (I have similar win % anyway).

Gekko might not be able to make it, probably because he has something "better" to do Saturday night. Currently pleading with him.

Also, the FFA LEAGUE STREETMYTH SHOWCASE maps have been announced!
