Re: Myth II HD Coming Soon!
Renwood, you're either not reading or not understanding what I'm saying. I will respond one more time, but I'm not going to keep repeating myself over and over. Then why am I able to have the "Gate of storms Myth IV" styled battle with the thousands upon thousands of HD sprites on the scre...

Re: Myth II HD Coming Soon!
For instance do you think that nothing should ever use more then 128 megs of VRAM at one time if its some form of myth content? Well for starters, Myth's texture cache only goes to a maximum of 512MB, so keeping all usage under that is ideal if you don't want thrash/jitters. And yes, you can have l...

Re: Myth II HD Coming Soon!
Ren don't turn this discussion stupid please. I'm the one who knows this stuff, so perhaps just listen to me and accept what I say instead of the usual passive-aggressive nonsense. If you legitimately want to learn I'm happy to help educate, but if you just want to troll and try and confuse less tec...

Re: adrenaline's Myth II Guide for Newbs
Just now I've thought of this: use AutoHotKey to map each of the numbers keys as Alt+# so you don't have to press Alt when recalling presets. Then have formations change by pressing Alt+# (this would be harder to script but most likely possible). I think this has been mentioned elsewhere, but 1.8 h...

Re: Myth II HD Coming Soon!
You know, when creating new content, it is not very logical to lower the quality level based on idea some people who have really old computers will not be able to play it as fast. You missed my point. I'm not asking for you to "lower the quality level" specifically to cater to older compu...

Re: Myth II HD Coming Soon!
The thing is, ooga can allways batch action the renders in photoshop to make them smaller. Sure, render them at whatever resolution you want, just optimize the final collection for regular zoom levels. IMHO it's not a good trade-off at all to make it so that when I zoom in they are super-high detai...

Re: Myth II HD Coming Soon!
Well, the beta version has been hovering around for at least two. Was just wondering if this is the same thing. I think you're thinking of Jon God's detail textures. That's a separate thing (landscape) from these alternate high-resolution sprites. Looking forward to seeing this Renwood, but please ...

Re: http:// instead of https://
the webserver sees the passwords as plain texts but administrators dont. the built in software prevents that which can be really annoying when having to manually reset pw's from the db.. Sure, but anyone with access to the php code could trivially modify it to reveal plain text passwords. I'm just ...

Re: http:// instead of https://
I'll give it a try tomorrow at work. My home IP isn't static either, but it's "more static". Definitely I also noticed today that it had logged me off again at home, so maybe that's it.

Re: http:// instead of https://
Yeah I seem to only have the issue at work, so perhaps some network config thing could be affecting it there (although that's slightly odd). No issue on other phpbb forums, so not sure what's up, but thought I'd report it anyways. Not a huge deal since it seems to work fine at home.

I see the button but I'm still getting logged out when closing my browser... clear some sort of cookie issue. I'm on stock Chrome, Win7 x64, no plugins.

Re: http:// instead of https://
SSL (https) only encrypts the connection between you and the web server. I hope you're not under some sort of impression that the web server doesn't see your password in plain text, because it does... always... More importantly though, you really have to enable persistent logins. It's ridiculous to ...

Re: Is the GJOL a FLOP?
Password requirements aren't going to change just because 2-3 people are too lazy to include both numbers and letters in their password. You really should alternatively allow passphrases though. They are provably more secure than even random digits or common password requirements (mixed case, numbe...
